Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shakar, one of the American and British sitarist. She is the youngest woman and the first to receive an official British House of Commons shield. Anoushka Shankar is a rising young star of the Indian sitar. She is a student and sister of Ravi Shankar. She was born in London in 1982. During the first few years of her life she was split in London New Delhi. She gave her debut performance on stage in New Delhi at the tender age of thirteen. In Encinitas CA in 1999 she received the high-school degree. Even though she's very young Anouskha is an accomplished performer and recording record. She has been accompanying her father in the stage for a long time. In 1998, she debuted her debut single album Anourag. In 2002, she released her Grammy Nominated Live At Carnegie Hall. The stage work she has done is vast as she has been in every one of the world's major venues. Anoushka Shankar's career is not restricted to just performing in music. She also published Bapi, the love of my life in the year 2002. The book is a biography that pays tribute to her father Ravi Shankar. She has also acted in films in 2003 she was in the movie Dance Like a Man where she is a young Bharat Natyam dancer. Anoushka is still progressing on her path and we can expect many other things to be expected from this talented lady. Anoushka was born in England however, she spent the majority of her youth in between London in the UK and Delhi. After that, she relocated to California and went to the high school there. She began studying music when she was nine years old and performed on the sitar for the 75th anniversary of the birth of her father in Delhi four years later. Her father traveled around the world with her and she also gained a variety of experiences. When she was still in her teens, Anoushka performed at Carnegie Hall in Peter Gabriel's WOMAD music festival. The youngest female to be awarded the House of Commons Shield, awarded by British Parliament as recognition of her talent and musicianship within the Asian Arts.
