Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds a distinguished chair in psychology in the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is widely praised as the pioneer of modern research of eyewitness memory in children and utilizing child victims to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded many grants and has been honored with numerous international and national awards. She has collaborated with numerous organisations and governments across the world on studies and policy issues pertaining to child victimized by the justice system. She also serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the head of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
