Anita Briem was born in Iceland. Anita is well-known for the actress who was Jane Seymour in the TV show The Tudors. Briem started her acting career acting as an actress in the National Theater Iceland at 9 years old. When she was in her home country Iceland she was involved in radio, television and various different programs while a young actor. Briem left Iceland for London at 16 years old when he was part of the stage production Lenin's Love. At 19 years of age, Briem was accepted at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), where she studied for three years. There she obtained a diploma in dramatics and an award called the John Barton Prize in the category of Scenic Fight. The Cherry Garden (Anton Chekhov) as well as Bernarda Alba's house by Federico Garcia Lorca were among the many plays he took part in while at RADA. Briem following his graduation from RADA continued working in London the theatre.
